Pediatric Advanced Life Support

Intended Audience: Licensed Healthcare Professionals staffing emergency, intensive care, or critical care departments; emergency medical providers such as physicians, nurses, emergency technicians, paramedics, respiratory therapists, and other professionals who may have a need to respond to a pediatric emergency. Successful course completion measured through written exam and satisfactory skill performance.

The American Heart Association’s Pediatric Advanced Life Support is designed for pediatricians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, emergency physicians, and other healthcare providers who care for infants and children. The PALS course teaches participants to recognize infants and children at risk of cardiopulmonary arrest strategies needed to prevent cardiopulmonary arrest in infants and children, skills needed to resuscitate and stabilize infants and children in respiratory failure, shock, or cardiopulmonary arrest. Our classes are presented in lecture and video presentation format with hands-on skills practice sessions to help you fully understand the material.
