Intended Audience:
Licensed Healthcare Professionals staffing emergency, intensive care, or
critical care departments; emergency medical providers such as
physicians, nurses, emergency technicians, paramedics, respiratory
therapists, and other professionals who may have a need to respond to a
cardiovascular emergency.
The American Heart Association's Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
course is designed for healthcare providers who either direct or
participate in the resuscitation of a patient, whether in or out of the
hospital setting. Through the ACLS course, providers will enhance their
skills in the treatment of the adult victim of a cardiac arrest or other
cardiopulmonary emergencies. The ACLS Course provides the knowledge and
skills needed to evaluate and manage the first 10 minutes of an adult
ventricular fibrillation/ventricular tachycardia (VF/VT), emphasizing
the importance of basic life support CPR to patient survival; the
integration of effective basic life support with advanced cardiovascular
life support interventions; and the importance of effective team
interaction and communication during resuscitation. Our classes are presented in lecture
and video presentation format with hands-on skills practice sessions to
help you fully understand the material. |
